This document provides instructions for installing SSL certificate. If you are unable to use these instructions for your server, Symantec recommends that you contact either the vendor of your software or an organization that supports Cisco ACS.
Step 1: Download the SSL Certificate & Intermediate CA Certificate
- Download the certificate from Symantec Trust Center account.
- The ZIP file you downloaded contains the following certificates:
Note: Select the server platform as Other when downloading the certificate.- SSL certificate (i.e. ssl_certificate.cer, also known as end entity certificate, public key certificate, digital certificate or identity certificate).
- Intermediate CA certificate (i.e. IntermediateCA.cer, also known as chained certificate or signer/issuer of the SSL certificate).
- Unzip the files onto the server where you will install the certificate.
Step 2: Install CA Certificate
- In the navigation bar, click System Configuration.
- Click ACS Certificate Setup.
- Click ACS Certification Authority Setup.
- CiscoSecure ACS displays the CA Operations table on the Certification Authorities Setup page.
- In the CA certificate file box, type the full path and filename for the certificate you want to use
- Locate and import the IntermediateCA.cer
- Click Submit.
Step 3: Install the SSL Certificate
- In the navigation bar, click System Configuration.
- Click ACS Certificate Setup.
- Click Install ACS Certificate.
- CiscoSecure ACS displays the Install ACS Certificate page.
- Select the Read certificate from file option, and then type the full directory path and filename of the certificate file in the Certificate file box.
- In the Private Key file box, type the full directory path and name of the file that contains the private key.
- In the Private Key password box, type the private key password.
- Click Submit.
- To verify if your certificate is installed correctly, use the Symantec Installation Checker
